Agriculture, Forestry, & Waste Technical Work Group All documents prepared for the Agriculture, Forestry, and Waste Resource Management (AFW) Technical Work Group (TWG) were posted here during the NYCAC process, along with other documents of interest. Typically the TWG met via teleconference. Members of the public could attend any teleconference or meeting. The Center for Climate Strategies (CCS) facilitated these calls and prepared various documents for the calls. Members of the Agriculture, Forestry, and Waste Management TWG The AFW TWG created five sub-groups to focus on Agriculture, Forestry and Waste Management issues. Background Materials As part of an earlier effort, the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA) undertook economic analysis of a number of technologies and best practices that could reduce greenhouse gases. Called the "Cost Curves Project," the information from these analyses -- done across multiple sectors -- can provide useful information for the NYCAC Technical Work Groups. A separate document (memorandum) explains the methodology used in quantifying the costs/cost savings and emission reductions. The Center for Climate Strategies assisted NYSERDA in the "Cost Curves Project."
