Integration Advisory Panel The members of the Integration Advisory Panel (IAP) were determined based upon needs identified by the Climate Action Council (CAC). Members brought technical expertise and stakeholder perspective necessary to draft an implementable Climate Action Plan (CAP). The IAP included members from each Technical Work Group (TWG) and CAC designees. Several interdisciplinary experts and economists not on the TWGs also participated. The IAP was advisory and was responsible for evaluating policy measures as requested by the CAC. A key function of the IAP was to facilitate the integration of work from each sector/TWG (Agriculture, Forestry & Waste; Power Supply & Delivery; Residential, Commercial & Industrial; Transportation & Land Use, and Adaptation) and to assess how mitigation and adaptation strategies are influenced by each other and by projections of future climate change. The Panel reviewed and assessed the following:
The IAP also reviewed policy recommendations developed by the five TWGs, including multi-sector implications of potential recommendations (e.g., workforce needs, economic implications, R&D needs, etc.), and the draft CAP. Representatives from the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) served as the co-chairs of this group.
